...somewhat damaged.

This is your wallet speaking…

Since I’m desperately trying to get %NON|NightOutNow.Net% back in full swing by the time summer arrives. My %ADROCK|buddy% and have decided it’s time to put ourselves back into the scene. We attented a party last night called “The Bartenders Ball No.3″ downtown in the Warehouse District at a club called Tramp ( formerly known as %BUDDHA|Funky Buddha%; this is still quite confusing as the club has 2 floors. The bottom floor is still called Funky Buddha and the main floor is now called Tramp. The sign outside says Tramp, but Funky Buddha still ‘exists’). The night started out rather chill. We arrived probably around 10pm. The music pumping but at a lower volume than normal ‘Club Levels’. The crowd was thin. Something I expected for a Sunday night party. But then something happened, 12mid-night hit and the place was packed, wall to wall.. Elbow to elbow. and my wallet was wearing quite thin. I swear I hung up my dancing shoes years ago when I decided Grand-pa was too old to cut some rug. But the music was hop’n, the girls were looking fine, and the RedBull & Vodkas took control. Dancing off my buzz was a good thing for the ride home. Not sure how much sleep I got, as my brain just wouldn’t shut off. I repeatedly looked at my clock, and I counted the hours before it was time to get ready for work. Wide awake at 6am. Two hours earlier than I need to be awake; I struggle to nap just a bit more. Finally giving up, I threw the towel in. “You win” I thought as I got out of bed at 7am to iron my clothes and shower. Thankfully my work day was light and people weren’t too demanding. I was able to sit in my dark office ( the cave as I like to call it ) and tap away at my keyboard fininishing up some major code that will make life at work a lot easier. Speaking of lack of sleep. It’s 2am. I should be in bed, but Geek Inside(tm) just won’t let it happen. . . . To bed.. Damnit.. Sleep…

You spin me right round baby…

Not exactly sure why I had this dream, but tornados were flying down my street and all of a sudden, one of my ex’s cars goes driving past my house. The dream dictionary defines tornados as anger, and things that are out of your control. The odd things is, me and this ex are on good terms. We’ve discussed things like adults and there was closure. The only possible thing I can come up with is when she moved from Cleveland to Minneapolis without blinking an eye. Granted she needed to move due to her education and wanting to finish up her Ph.D. But she didn’t seem to care much about our relationship at that time. This isn’t the first time I’ve had dreams with her in them and tornados were falling out of the sky. It’s not like I sit around dreaming about her. I really don’t think about her unless I hear a song, or something of that nature. So, I’m still really confused as to what’s going on here. I’ve moved on. What the heck??

So, I have this shitty cold. My neck is sore ( and I’m not sure if that’s from gawking at chicks or what ). So it’s Saturday and I figured I’d give this Mac-Machine the night off. Boxers, T-shirt and a bowl of ice-cream. I’ll have this cold for a month if I don’t get some rest. I was out until 4am Thursday night and even last night. Worst thing is, I didn’t even get laid. Cuz you know there’s only two reasons to be out until 4am. Denny’s and BJs.

Went to a small shin-dig my boss through. Eat some good food, drank some good beer. Then a few of us headed downtown to a club call Tramp ( formerly known as Funky Buddha ) . I finally get the nerve up to talk to a cute girl and she claims she has a BF. *sigh* So we’ll pretend she actually had a BF. My luck that I pick out the wrong girl to hit on. *pfft* I give up.

Hello Robin? Come in Robin!!

Ok, since the whole portable wireless phone number thing has been put into place, I decided it was time to switch providers and even get a new phone. So, I convinced myself I was going to get a SideKick. This thing is really slick. It’s not so great as a typical phone, since there isn’t any phone keypad for easy dialing, and it’s like talking into a bar of soap due to it’s size. But the applications/OS and the PDA/PIM stuff it excellent. It runs a JVM and all it’s apps are Java based. Hop over to my %SDK|photo gallery% and check out some of the pics… There’s a couple %SKSS|screen shots% of the thing in action too.
